Erectile Dysfunction

ED can cause significant stress both personally and socially and can affect self-confidence. The good news is that there are treatments available. While on occasion erectile dysfunction may suggest an underlying health issue, a side effect from medication and/or may be psychological due to stress, a lot of times ED can be treated. Sometimes an early treatment will prevent progression.

Lifestyle Changes

Lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, eating a healthier diet, getting regular exercise and proper sleep may help with ED. Stress-reduction techniques, such as relaxation exercises and meditation can also be helpful.

ED Medications

For some, oral medications such as sildenafil (Viagra), and tadalafil (Cialis) are effective. These drugs work by increasing blood flow to the penis, making it easier to get and maintain an erection. There are other medications and methods that can be used to treat ED.
